When we lived in Cat Hollow, we used to always attend the Boy Scout Pancake Breakfast at the local fire station. Several things were always a guarantee: we would have to wait in a very long line, we would sweat buckets, and the pancakes would be good. Four years later the same things held true, except we learned something new. If you go later in the morning, you don't have to wait in line.

More Frio Fun
Definitely one of the highlights of summer is our trip to Concan. Over the last 3 years, we have shared this trip with a variety of extended family members, but our core group remains the same. We have come to cherish this time with the Kanigowskis and Elliotts. We wouldn't trade it for any amount of money, and we truly believe that this trip is what keeps our kiddos close when the miles separate us. I hope it is a tradition we can continue for many years to come!
Mighty's Buddy
One of the highlights of our little guy's week is waiting for his buddy to arrive every Tuesday morning. On this particular day, he was really brave. Mighty brought out one of his garbage trucks to show his buddy.
After our "official" meeting, I asked his buddy if he would mind taking a picture with his biggest fan. Luckily he agreed. What a special day for Mighty!
Now that school has started, I have been told that I "ruined his trash work" because he goes to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He almost had me convinced to put him in school Monday, Wednesday, and Friday just so he could be home for trash day. Maybe one day he'll understand that his mommy wanted to be his buddy, too. More school means less time at home with me.

So Far Behind!
I somehow manage to do this every year, so I won't bother apologizing. To qualify for a valid apology, I need to make efforts not to repeat this mistake. So far, I've got nothing.
It is now October 7. I am just posting picture from May...yikes! These are pictures and memories from the last weeks of school. Good-bye 3rd grade, 1st grade, and TWC. We will remember you fondly.

Birthday Boys
We celebrated J's birthday in Louisiana. We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend. Somehow we managed to only capture our cake time. Here are my boys helping dad celebrate his big day.
